Pyramid Design - Meditation Room (Level 7)
Overview In this following drawing you can see the whole of the seventh level. This is a 12.80m squared base. The top of the drawing is due East
Place to meditate The Meditation Room is the Apex of the pyramid and unlike other levels that are 2.71m high, this room is over 8m high. Whether it is to read a book or soak up the view from 16.3m high up there is no doubt that this will be a sacred place. The room will be open to tourists and the people of Iquitos during the day and pyramid guests at night
Decor The inside of the room will be painted and tell the story of the Incan Trilogy - The three worlds; Under world guarded by the serpent, the middle world (our world) guarded by the puma and the heavens guarded by the condor. The story will be painted by the artist David-Hewson. David lives here in Iquitos and he is particularly talented in the use of Gold Leaf. We will be using $30,000 of Gold Leaf so any corporate donations are welcomed! Here is an example of David's work...
The Apex The upper third of the room will be made of glass so that the light can enter. Painted lightly onto the glass (or perhaps using stained glass) will be depictions of the four elements which are central to shamanism: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water The very last few centimetres of the apex will be gold leaf and the Ankh above which is 2.222m high will be covered in gold leaf
Ambiance The meditation room is a shrine to Shamanism and part of that belief system is that the elements have spirits. Outside of the meditation room there will be wind chimes because this gives voice to the wind. The Meditation Room is also the only place where fire is permitted with the use of candles and smoke for healing. From time to time shaman will be invited into the pyramid to perform healing ceremonies
The Crown Chakra The highest crown chakra is said to be the chakra of consciousness, the master chakra that controls all the others. This chakra faces upwards to receive and to connect to the energies above. The Meditation Room is a fine place to pray to God, whatever you perceive that to be. The level is associated with the colour violet and the flowers will reflect that
