Pyramid Design 

The Plans

As you can see the pyramid has 7 levels and each has been given a name; The Platform, Queens, Kings, Lions, Orion, Casa de Julio and The Meditation Room.  Each level is 1/9th the height of the pyramid, that's 2.72m with the exception of the Meditation room which is 1/3rd the height of the pyramid at 8.15m.  The pyramid height is 24.44m which is exactly 1/6th the height of the Great Pyramid in Egypt.  The length of the sides are 38.39m which again are 1/6th the sides of the Great Pyramid

So as you probably guessed the Floating Pyramid is an exact scale model of the external measurements of the Great Pyramid in Egypt.  This is the formula:-

BASE = HEIGHT x ∏/2

Supernatural Origin

I am grateful to Gina Rueda Fernández for helping get the designs into CAD, for tidying them up, applying her experience of Peruvian building regulations and adding her own detailed creative input

The pyramid design was born and evolved since February 2007.  Generally the insights came to me during Ayahuasca ceremonies.  Ayahuasca is great for expanding the mind and helping you to visualise ideas.  I believe that Ayahuasca sets up a channel between ourselves and higher intelligences so I do not claim the architectural creativity is mine - I consider the project a blueprint from the Gods, or certainly higher alien intelligence.  I have no architectural or engineering training or experience.  Often I'd take some Ayahuasca and ask it questions like how do I join this piece of wood to this piece of wood?  The Ayahuasca always provided the answers.  If the building proves successful I think it is time that we consider that mind expansion, however you perceive the ideas to come from, be taken very seriously in furthering science.  I plan to create a crack team of engineers to work on the problem of cheap renewable energy using these esoterical working methods

Another interesting point is that often smart pieces of design were discovered after the design had been built, again suggesting to me that higher intelligences were at work.  Another strange phenomenon has been that when mistakes are made in the building process the solution is often a better design then the original intention suggesting that these intelligence are also present and influencing the construction.  It is my belief that the spirit world exists all around us and that these intelligences can influence our minds subconsciously

In some cases the spirit of animals helped in the design.  I remember seeing many snakes which represented rope but the most striking ceremony and creative input came from the spirit of the spider who designed the base below the platform.  This is basically a web of thick beams - the spiders web fairs well as a structure in nature so why not?  I think that copying nature is the way for architecture to go

Floating

Altho the pyramid is being built on balsa wood for now, by August 2008 it will have been floated using 850,000 plastic bottles.  This is considered absolutely loco by most people I talk to and yet I cannot understand why people should think this.  Using up a waste product and applying it to good use in building seems to me to be the smart move.  We will need the support of the whole of Iquitos because we need all the city's bottle consumption for 3 months!  Someone once said to me, hey why not use the big gallon drums from the oil companies?  I said, well it's a natural building and I don't really kno how I would clean them out.  They said, "you can clean them in the river".  Now that to me is absolutely loco but I thanked him for the idea all the same

Theme

The building uses natural materials with the exception of the use of some iron.  The building will be a New Age, Spiritual paradise.  The New Age is the coming of the Age of Aquarius which is the Winter Solstice of 2012 (21/12/12 11:11).  If you think that pyramid's have power and would mediate in one then I invite you to live in one for a week whilst breathing in the fresh air of thousands of miles of jungle and take part in, if you wish, the world's most powerful personal development course

A jungle theme will present thruout with the pyramid being packed with plants and a few animals like parrots monkeys and perhaps even butterflies.  Light will pour down thru the apex and be channelled into the mid areas of every floor using crystals.  Ventilation shafts will suck air thru the floor joists into the central area.  I am considering having intelligent solar powered fans that mimic the wind's strength so a breeze can effectively penetrate the pyramid - making a building breath seems an important factor to me.  Wind chimes in the meditation room will give voice to the breeze

Some of the Woods

Thruout the pyramid the standard floorboards are red (Palo Sangre) and yellow (Gauriuba).  The two colours will be worked together to produce interesting patterns... (in some cases the patterns are very jazzy indeed!)

The number 2 is thus holistically applied to the whole building.  In numerology the number 2 is everything in the universe that is paired, it is the male-female, it is the Ying and the Yang, the number 2 is about connection and thus love

The photo below shows some Remocaspi - the bark has just been stripped off and so it is still quite red but the point of the photo is to show how Remocaspi has a beautiful twisty pattern

The wood used underwater is the Masaranduba.  This is very hard with a relative density of 1.22 (it does not float).  It survives in water for 40 years.  Another wood used is the hardwood Anacaspi.  This is a yellow colour and is excellent for building with altho it is not good in water

Just thought you might like a summary of where some of the numbers can be found...

2. Two is in the patterns of the floors because red and yellow woods are used to work together. 2 is connection and love

3 and 9 (the triple trilogy) are found in the way that the pyramid is cut up in the design...

3 is also the Inca Trilogy of the three worlds found in the gold leaf paintings of the Meditation Room

4 are the 4 cardinal points, the four pyramid sides and the four shamanic elements

5 is the central swimming pool pentagram and for the pyramid represents a connect to the river of life as well as the usual pentagram symbolism

6 is the link to the Great Pyramid because the height and sides are 6 times smaller.  So six is our link to the Gods, to the past

7 is the 7 missions of the pyramid

7 is the 7 days the visitors spend doing their personal development course

7 is the 7 floors (and their corresponding 7 chakras)

7-7-7 is the 7th July 2007 when I visited the Great Pyramid and called on the Gods to protect this project (amongst over things which are secret)

8 are the steps of each flight that take a visitor upwards

9 Triple trilogy but is also linked heavily to the finances of the pyramid

9-9-9 is the official opening date and start of the missions

11 is the Ankh, the symbol of life, because the Ankh is 2.222m high and exactly 1/11th the height of the pyramid.  1-1 is also for New Beginnings - New beginning of Life, Enlightenment?  The Ankh's connection to the 2s is also a resonance of love

13 are the fractal pyramids that surround the 5 sides of the pentagram swimming pool.  Each sides has 3 which would make 15 but two are lost to the entrance canal leaving 13.  This woodhenge is at the heart of the pyramid.  13 is the coven, for example Jesus and his 12 disciples were a coven

37 is the number of standard sized hotel rooms

44.44cm is the height of all the meditation benches and restaurant chairs.  This is 1/55th the height of the pyramid or 1/(5x11).  This means the mediator is literally supported by the new beginnings (1-1) of life and the river (5) of life which is the change to come

88.88cm is the height of all hand rails and balconies.  Again the support of 44.44 but times 2   ...2 being connection and love thrown in.  It is the friends you will meet, the hands you will hold

Other numbers have yet to be discovered

Celebration of Life

The pyramid is a celebration of life marked by the Ankh on the top which is the ancient Egyptian symbol for Life.  The spiral pentagram staircase has been likened to a strand of DNA - you'll see for yourself

The pyramid is considered to be a living entity and it's spirit will evolve as the energy is left by the visitors that come.  The seven floors represent it's 7 chakras.  These are discussed in more detail for each floor

Why BASE = HEIGHT x ∏/2

Lets say that you build a tower of 146.62m high - why would you choose this number? Perhaps because it is exactly 280 cubits, they didn't use meters back then but I will carry on working in meters for our benefit. (1m = 1.91 Cubits to 2.d.p). Why 280? Why 2x2x2x5x7 - I don't know I would have thought 365.25 units would have been better capturing the days in a year which leads me to ponder that the standard unit was not the cubit but a more ancient arbitrary unit of just over 40cm long (Call it a Sol).  Anyway you have a tower this high.  You then take a rope that is also this length and draw a circle in the sand all around the base of the tower making sure that the feet of the tower do not interfere with drawing the circle. Now you wait

Interestingly the angle the diagonals make with the base is almost exactly 42 degrees (41.997). This approximation is twice as accurate as the "51 degrees 51 minutes" often quoted for the other base angle

As the sun rises in the morning the shadow of the tower will be long because the sun is low.  In fact the end of the tower shadow will fall outside our sand circle.  During the day the shadow will pass inside the circle and by sunset it will have crossed outside again. The two points where the shadow crossed in and out of the sand circle can now be joined together by a straight line.  This line always runs exactly East-West regardless of time of year and is simply the path of the sun or the direction of the Earth's rotation.  The bisector back to the tower base is the North-South line

Shamanic view

From a shamanic perspective nature is telling you that these lines are more significant than any others.  This is because it is pointed out by the sun and the Egyptians worshipped the sun.  So obviously to mark your respect to the sun you would position your pyramid cardinally so that it's sides run with the sun.  Why choose any other angle if it is the sun you are worshipping?

The above procedure assumes that the ground is flat and that the tower is vertical.  The Giza Plateau of solid rock under the pyramid would have been made flat probably by flooding the area and using the water level to give the masons a  perfectly flat base.  A tower can be made vertical by using gravity and dropping several plumb lines down the sides.  The higher the tower, the more accurate the cardinal alignment will be

If you sank pegs all around where your sacred sand circle lays and then follow a piece of rope around there you will have a length of 921.25m as discussed above.  If you think like a shaman then you will allow the sand circle to represent the sun bought down to Earth. To capture the Sun's subjective essence, it's path through the heavens in a day; to lock this Platonic dimension into your pyramid, you now allow your rope circle to be transformed to a rope square and thus your pyramid respects the sun - the fact that you just captured PI in the design probably isn't something you even consider relevant

"The Louvre Pyramid"

The Louvre pyramid in Paris is only a metre or so smaller than the floating pyramid.  The designer did not quite follow the BASE = HEIGHT x ∏/2 rule, because presumably that was not considered important.  Nevertheless The Louvre pyramid is a beautiful building

Note the "Le Louvre Pyramid" is not angled cardinally, instead it aligns with the Louvre building.  I count 684 windows with some lost to the door but sorry Dan Brown I don't think that's as many as 18 judging by the photo so there cannot be 666 windows

"The Luxor Hotel"

This Las Vegas pyramid is a staggering 106m tall, that's roughly 77% of the height of the Great Pyramid

Impressively the Luxor is cardinally aligned...  but it is a casino

"The Pyramid Arena"

The Memphis pyramid is 98m tall with a base side of 180m so clearly it doesn't really have any bearing on the Great Pyramid because it is 17m too short.  So a pyramid yes but no esoterical thinking on the drawing board.  It is aligned with the surrounding street blocks and is thus not cardinally aligned altho it is very beautiful nevertheless...

Just a reminder of what's to come down here in Peru...

This pyramid does respect the sacred geometry, is cardinally aligned, is a natural building which respects the environment but above all it's commitment to fulfil the 7 missions will make it the most valuable pyramid to mankind since ancient times
