Pyramid Design - Orion (Level 5)

Overview

In this following drawing you can see the whole of the fifth level.  This is a 21.33m squared base.  We'll look at each part of it below in detail.  The top of the drawing is due East

The Restaurant

On the North side of Orion we have a restaurant designed to host around 60 people at a time.  Many of the tables are outside and will enjoy spectacular views of Iquitos.  The kitchen is open plan and food preparation will be on view to the public.  The Eastern juice bar provides a waiting area should we get too busy to seat people straight away

The vision for the restaurant is to provide extremely healthy food with an emphasis on raw living foods such as vegetables and salads.  Exceptional care will be taken to avoid adding non natural ingredients for example only the best rock salt will be placed on the tables.  Did you kno that natural rock salt has over 97 trace elements compared to the 3 found in processed table salt?  Could it be that our bodies require some of them minerals?

Eventually food will be grown on land that the pyramid purchases.  This food will not only be strictly organic but it will be blessed on a daily basis during its growth - the plants will be held as sacred

It is likely that we will serve fish altho meat and dairy will be off the menu

In Peru now people are addicted to soda drinks and the pyramid will serve no soda drinks what so ever.  Table water will be from the rain

Altho it is debatable that bread is healthy we are considering having a kiln so we can bake fresh bread - certainly sprouting will be on the menu!

The ethos of the menu is not to provide a classy, expensive joint that only rich Peruvians and gringos will enjoy.  We intend to keep the costs down with the only financial objective of the restaurant being to pay for itself and pay for all the pyramid's employees to eat free

Iquitos does not yet know about organic food or many of the new ways chefs are finding to make raw vegetables tantalising to the taste buds but the pyramid will change that

The restaurant will be run by our friend from San Francisco called Claudia who has been learning about raw fooding and veganism

Lecture Theatre

The lecture theatre contains benches that get 15cm higher each metre.  Towards the left the presenter will have some state of the art presentation equipment consisting of a giant screen and a good PC.  During a week's stay those guests doing the personal development cause will spend time learning about everything from diet to emotional control and spirituality to the esoterical

For 2 hours a day the lecture theatre is donated to the universities of Iquitos for their own private use; that's UNAP, UPI and the Iquitos School of Arts.  This may give several hundred students at least one lecture a week in the pyramid away from the pollution and traffic in the city.  It is also a way to help integrate the people of Iquitos with tourists and generally bring more people to the pyramid.  We hope that the students will become interested in personal development for example

In the evening the theatre will show personal development movies such as What The Bleep, The Secret etc.

The South-West corner

This corner is dominated by the dance room.  Dance is a big part of the personal development cause and will be managed by our friend from New York called Katie.  The circles are mini trampolines.  During lectures it will be nice to stop work, all head into the dance room and have a bounce to some loud music for 10 minutes.  Also there will be evening of Trance-Dance

The bathrooms on Orion support the lecture theatre and restaurant goers.  Note that now the stairs are enclosed

Orion will be associated with the colour blue and the Throat Chakra.  This chakra is associated with nourishment and food along with growth (personal development).  It is also associated with communication so the lecture theatre is in exactly the right place
