Renewable Energy

“The Challenge"
Clean Energy

The challenge facing mankind today is to find a clean way to produce energy.  Nuclear energy promised this 40 years ago but everyone knows that the waste the nuclear industry produces and the risk of accident are too high a price to pay (particularly since the Chernobyl accident)

The very survival of our species now depends on finding a clean energy source.  This is certainly more serious then the relatively short-term profits of an oil company.  The fight for mankind's survival is more serious than any of the wars of the past.  It is more serious than landing a man on the moon.  In fact it is more serious than the sum total of everything man has ever accomplished and every inch fought for because without success in this mission there is no future for us.  With this seriousness in mind, what are our governments doing about the problem?  The answer is that the richest governments are in the political grip of the oil companies and they do not want to admit that their industry is to blame for any global problem or help a competitive energy company get started.  It is now time that this kind of short sightedness is confined to history and that we get smart about all working together to protect the human race from extinction

“Pyramid Power"
Massive Motivation

The Pyramid Fund will pay for scientists and engineers from around the world to come to Iquitos, to live here where we will create a think tank which is intensely focused on the search for cheap, clean energy

Whether it be solar energy, wind energy, river energy or even some yet undiscovered energy source - the Pyramid Project will motivate these men and women to the same degree that the young men and women of Bletchley Park were charged up during the second world war.  Our scientists will be taken through the Pyramid's personal development program as part of their training and so we will help them get the best from themselves

Bletchley Park - Scientist Think Tank during WWII. Objective: Crack the German Enigma Code

Once our objective of clean energy is cracked, the immediate requirement of the project will be to charge the batteries that we expect the taxicabs of Iquitos to be using after our Taxicab Conversion project succeeds

Personally I believe it can be done, I do not know how but I have faith in the ingenuity of our scientists and I believe if the pyramid can create an environment where we get the best from our people and find a way to compound each others efforts then we will massively benefit from "the whole is more than the sum of the parts" phenomenon.  We will introduce playful competition between teams whilst maintaining an altruistic openness of ideas sharing.  Our teams will work hard and enjoy all the benefits of living in Amazonian paradise with over 100 like minded colleagues

“Can you help"
Scientists, engineers, thinkers...

Excellent qualifications are obviously a big bonus to any application but sometimes the way that people are programmed at university stifles creativity, especially in the scientific fields, so a demonstration of creativity is essential.  Be that a musical instrument, an interest in art or just some crazy idea that you once had and then pursued to a useful end.  We are looking for people that think outside the box, lateral thinkers, but that are not so scattered that nothing ever gets done.  A demonstration of a completed project would be helpful.

You must be a friendly person who sees the benefit of working in a team.  We want people who respect the environment and really 'get' why this project is so important.  Applicants who have an interest in shamanism would also be interesting to us.  A volunteer team will be introduced to some esoterical working methods which will require training with the shaman and intensive plant diets.  (This is how the floating pyramid was designed)

If you can see yourself fitting into this team, maybe even one of the organisers or motivators then get in touch.  The project is due to start in September 2009 so drop us an email to get yourself on the Renewable Energy Project mailing list

Perhaps you are not able to come to Peru to help us but can see the seriousness of this project then please figure out a way you would like to get involved - plus of course any donations gratefully received and may help us to get started earlier
