The Pyramid's Shamanic Tour Iquitos, Peru Don Guillermo
“Famous
for a reason" A humble man, Guillermo Arévalo is a Cuarandero descended from generations of shamanic healers. In 1972, at the age of 24, he voluntarily entered the field of traditional medicine. In 1980, after gaining much experience, knowledge and expertise, he was initiated into the shamanic practices of his own culture, that of the Shipibo-Konibo. In 1982, he founded the Application of Traditional Medicines Project (AMETRA) in Pucallpa Don Guillermo is always happy to share some of his wisdom and good spirit
The large and friendly staff are always on hand and willing to help out when needed. Generally there are two delicious meals served daily which suits anyone participating in a ceremony. If you require extra meals, (perhaps you choose to skip a ceremony), the staff will cook specifically for you. Other refreshments like tea and fruit are always available
The bathrooms at Guillermo's are some of the cleanest around Iquitos
Guillermo's son and apprentice prepares the night's Ayahuasca
