The Pyramid's Shamanic Tour Iquitos, Peru Don Lucho
“The
Rock
Star Shaman" In beautiful Tamshiyacu about twenty minutes down a clay road can be found the very respected healer, Lucho Pandurro. With his long black, curly hair, he might first appear to you like he plays in one of the local rock bands. And perhaps this isn't too far from the truth with his collection of strange and beautiful instruments he plays in his ceremonies
Don Lucho with one of the instruments he made with his own hands
Don Lucho apprenticed under such luminaries as Agustin Rivas Vasquez and has studied Curanderismo for 25 years. In that time, he has become a very powerful healer; however, this has not gone to his head. A humble man, he always has a smile on his face and is ready to share some of the fascinating stories that lead him to where he now resides in body, mind and spirit. When you meet him, you will be as curious as we were to hear these tales
The accommodations at Don Lucho's are comfortable without losing the spirit of the jungle. With a dormitory that can sleep twenty and many other smaller houses for those wishing to have more privacy, there is plenty of space for everyone
Don Lucho's place is a couple of hours from Iquitos by river and is a very peaceful spot with just the noises of the jungle. There is a place to bathe with a stream near by and delicious food is always available when you are feeling hungry. It literally is a paradise
In nearby Tamshiyacu, you will find that the local people are as charming as the surroundings
Whether you are on the one week tour or the two week tour, all participants spend 2 consecutive nights with Don Lucho
Don Lucho cooks his own Ayahuasca brew, which is excellent
Many friendships have been forged around this table. You may find that sharing your experiences from the ceremony are as memorable as the ceremony itself
Everyone's shamanic journey is different but they are all life changing
