The Pyramid's Shamanic Tour

Iquitos, Peru

The Gringa House

“Quaint and Elegant"
All that comes with a great night's sleep

The owner of the Gringa House, Linda Flynn is a busy woman.  Not only does she run this accommodation, but you can often find her at El Cyber teaching her young students over the internet.  Located out of the main centre towards the airport, The Gringa House is truly a treasured find.  According to some news' sources, "Iquitos is the loudest city in the world".  Yes, Iquitenians love there loud music and even louder moto-taxis!!!  Thankfully, The Gringa House is located on a street with little traffic and no stores blaring their radios

With simple, elegant sleeping quarters and 3 bathrooms with 3 showers, the basics are nicely met.  But where The Gringa House really shines is in the extras.  In the social room you will find plenty of comfortable seating, a television with DVD player, a stereo, a computer with internet access, and to round things off, a fully functional kitchen.  Outside there is a beautiful walkway lined with hammocks for those wishing to take in the beautiful scenery.  Speaking of beautiful scenery, The Gringa House has many exotic fruit trees and even a vast array of medicinal plants to sample.  And with two large wells you will never run out of clean, natural drinking water

With mosquito nets and windows netted securely you get plenty of fresh air without our friends, the mosquitoes

Just walking through the front door you will find some of the natural gifts that have a home at The Gringa House

The weather in Amazon allows for lots of fruit trees that you just don't see anywhere else

Hey, nothing wrong with taking in a movie while on vacation.  Or maybe even a book.  The Gringa House has a variety of interesting reads as well as a collection of crowd pleasing films.  Perhaps emailing family and friends and telling them what a life changing experience you are having on your shamanic journey is more your speed

If you decide to drink Ayahuasca at Don Juan's on Saturday, a ride will be provided back to The Gringa House which is in close proximity
