The Pyramid's Shamanic Tour Iquitos, Peru Quistacocha Park
“Not
just a zoo" Just because you are in the biggest rainforest in the world doesn't mean you can't spend a little time soaking up the rays on a beach. At Quistacocha Park, you can do just that and a whole lot more. As soon as you walk through the entrance, you are treated to some of the stories that make the Amazon such an enchanting and mystical place (translation included of course). Further on you encounter some of the vast collection of animals that make Quistacocha one of the main attractions for; not only tourists, but the locals as well. However, we think the beach is what really makes this place shine. Just lay out your towel, get in to your bathing suits and take in the ambiance
There is a café and shaded tables near by where you can get to know some of the new friends you are likely to make while on the tour. In the back of the park you will find a medicinal garden for those interested in some of the natural remedies available in the forest (a lot of which you will have the chance to purchase whilst strolling through the Belen Market). All and all, Quistacocha Park is one stop all visitors to Iquitos should make. We really look forward to taking you there!
The entrance to Quistacocha is decorated with popular Amazonian mythology. Here is a picture of an Ayahuasca ceremony taking place in the jungle
In addition to hawks and parrots on display, visitors can also walk through an aviary with many species of rainforest birds
Visit rare animals such as the tapir in their natural habitats or...
...have a chance to experience them up close It's very common to experience a closer infinity with animals as you tread the shamanic path. By combining your Shamanic Tour with a chance to handle animals we hope you start to feel more connected to the animal kingdom
Don't forget your swimwear!
